Formerly known as the Hullett House, this Victorian-esque estate is to be rebranded into House 1881. Serving as a capsule of history, this building holds an assortment of rooms, each once serving a different purpose. One once could rent out a comfortable and luxurious room for a night and enjoy the fine commodities that were provided or prance out and do some refined shopping.

Designed with great elegance from our handpainted wallpaper collection “Marry Me”, this peaceful and intricate design sets the magical and amorous mood that keeps us enchanted in a decadent and elegant silver forest. A beautiful love story comes to life on our carefully handpainted wallpaper. The story narrates a bride & groom in a bamboo forest wraps around the fanciful space. The groom leaps across the canvas, after his love, hoping to be reunited on their memorable day. Once he reaches her, a preening bird delivers a gorgeous diamond ring so their love can finally be eternally sealed. It really is no wonder why our handpainted wallpaper was chosen for such a famously chosen colonial wedding salon. For a lovely entrance, a large cascading wisteria and begonia garlands drape down into a gorgeous archway. This beautiful salon would set the scene to a picturesque and monumental experience.

LALA CURIO also designed a modernized interpretation of an 18th-century French salon. LALA CURIO accomplished this in honour of Champagne Mumm, a tasteful and precedent company. France was the theme with this traditional French interior complete with our rich red upholstered Louis XIV chairs, tying in that French 18th-century spirit. Where the East meets the West in the midst of Hong Kong, guests can enjoy their glass of champagne whilst being in the middle of bustling Tsim Sha Tsui.

Founder and interior designer, Laura Cheung Wolf’s house is an art itself. This place is a combination of love, family, and her view of art. Laura decorates every corner precisely by using refined decorations, chinoiserie furniture, and hand-painted wallpaper.
