When it comes to designing private homes, it is always important to truly understand and know the resident. A home is personal and making a home feel like- well- home is crucial. It was very fortuitous to have the opportunity to work with someone whom we personally knew.

When seeking a home in Hong Kong, the residents aimed to channel colonial Hong Kong. A contemporary concept that LALA CURIO works distinctively with. In other words, a perfect match.

The apartment, located in the gorgeous Mayfair estate, was torn down inside and remodelled. This allowed for a perfect blank slate. Each room allowing for a new, one of a kind rejuvenized opportunity.

The living room features LALA CURIO’s the whimsical scenic bespoke wallpaper from the “Toro Lanterns” collection. Delicately hand-painted with skillful strokes and embroidered with gold thread by gifted hands. Serving as an accent wall, the piece is eye-catching and impossible to look away.

A very exceptional piece, this bespoke wallpaper decorated home includes an exquisite and gorgeous bathroom lined with our cloisonne tiles. An imperial colour palette, these tiles are gilded in 24-karat gold.
