Wisteria Alchemy reimagines one of LALA CURIO’s most enduring motifs through a fresh exploration of material, color, and transformation. Designed by Laura Cheung Wolf, the panel draws inspiration from wisteria as a symbol of grace, longevity, and quiet strength, filtered through her life lived between cultures and continents.

Hand-painted on sage wood cork, the composition introduces a softened, verdant ground layered with gold leaf and oxidized metal leaf. Branches unfurl with organic movement, their gilded surfaces shifting subtly with light, creating a dynamic interplay between luminosity and patina. The result is a surface that feels at once ancient and new, grounded yet luminous.
