Drawing from his lineage in traditional Chinese medicine, James Fung’s collection centers on Lingzhi, revered globally for its healing properties and symbolic power. The design captures Lingzhi in cloud-like formations, layered terraces, and topographic contours—oscillating between microscopic detail and expansive landscape.
Rendered on black wood cork, flecked with copper-gold speckles, the wallpaper possesses an aged, almost alchemical depth. Select pieces are also crafted in cloisonné, where bent metal wires define each layer, filled with subtly graduated pigments. The result is a richly textured meditation on healing, time, and materiality.
